Welcome to Body Dimensions!

Body Dimensions was founded by Pam Henline in May of 2003. Pam started the business in the hope of providing a private one on one training facility. Leisa Hines joined her early in June 2003. Before the end of June, between 45-50 clients were being served and Body Dimensions has continued to have great success and growth.

Body Dimensions was the fitness link within a grouping of spa service businesses which existed for 4 1/2 years. In February 2008 the business moved to its present, more private location.

Our goal is to provide a place, that no matter your size, age or fitness level, you will feel comfortable working out with our trainers!

We offer a semi private facility (not completely private because each trainer will be working in the gym with clients one on one.). It can be much more inviting than a huge open gym with little or no one on one attention.

Our focus is on you and your goals, whether they are to lose weight, just get fit or to train for a sport. We are here to motivate you and help you obtain them.

Transform your body with a fitness program that's designed especially for you with one-on-one personal training by a Certified Fitness Trainer. Accomplish your fitness goals in less time with a workout tailored to your own shape, goals and condition.

She set a goal to lose 30lbs by 4-14-08, reaching the 30 lb goal mark on 3-22-08 almost three weeks early.

She set another goal of 25 lbs. by 6/16/08 and reched that goal mark as planned. With 5 lbs. lost towards her next goal of 30 lbs. by 10/16/08, she has lost a total of 60 lbs. as of 7/25/08.

She is doing weight training twice a week for 30 minutes, cardio training 6 days a week for 30 minutes and eating 3 Living Lean meals and snacks a day along with over a gallon of water.

Target Heart Rate Calculator (THR)

Maximum heart rate is designed to help people safely and effectively exercise. It is theoretically the most times that your heart can safely beat in the span of one minute. The traditional formula for computing maximum heart rate is 220 - age. Therefore maximum heart rate will decrease with age.

Heart Rate Activity Chart

Now that we know your maximum heart rate, we can compute various levels of activity. Keep in mind there are no hard and fast rules.

Maximum heart rate:
Resting heart rate (optional):

90% Anaerobic (intense)
80% Cross-training / interval
70% Moderate aerobic
60% Very light cardio

Resting heart rate is taken first thing in the morning, after waking. If you do not know your resting heart rate, leave that field blank. When used, it adjusts the formula slightly based on your level of fitness as indicated by your resting heart rate.

What Are the Zones?

The zones simply tell you where your fuel/energy is coming from.

• At 90%, the majority is without oxygen - here, you burn the most calories in the shortest amount of time, and increase your metabolism for longer periods. While fewer calories are burned from fat during the activity, more calories are expended overall, which is beneficial for fat loss and muscle gain.

• At 60%, you burn more calories from fat during the activity, but burn less calories overall and have minimal impact on your metabolism.

Beginners or those adding cardio to an already heavy schedule of training would benefit from the 60%, while those performing high intensity interval training or more advanced would benefit from working out in a higher range. Always check with your physician prior to beginning a new training regimen!
